How Multispectral Imaging Works
Multispectral mapping uses a specialised drone camera that captures light beyond the visible spectrum, typically including Red, Green, Blue, Red Edge, and Near-Infrared (NIR) wavelengths.
By analysing how vegetation reflects these different wavelengths, we can assess plant health, stress levels, moisture, and nutrient conditions across large areas. The data is processed to generate colour-coded index maps (such as NDVI or NDRE) which clearly show variations in crop or vegetation health.
These maps allow you to identify underperforming zones, irrigation issues, or areas affected by disease long before problems are visible to the naked eye.
